March MOM of the MONTH Lindsey Dupler

From Instructor Emma Davis: "Lindsey has been a great addition to our FIT4MOM family, she comes to class with the biggest smile, and the best attitude. Lindsey gives her best effort every time she comes to class, and she even ran her first 5k with the group this past month, and did amazing! We are so lucky to have Lindsey and her sweet family as a part of our tribe!"

Let's hear more about Lindsey...

1. Who are the members of your family?

It's me, my significant other Brandon, our daughter Ellie, and our dog Hank!

2. What is or was your career?

I'm currently a stay at home mom, but before Ellie was born I was a Special Education teacher.

3. How long have you been a member of Stroller Strides of Savannah and what has it done for you?

I've been a member of Stroller Strides since September 2016. It has really been a life saver for me. We're originally from Ohio and all of our family and friends still live there. So after Ellie was born in April I was really depressed about not having friends and family here. I joined stroller strides and immediately felt welcomed. It's been amazing to have friends that can relate to the highs and lows of motherhood!

4. What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?

How little sleep I can function on, and the amount of love I can have for another person. Even on the hardest days of motherhood, it amazes me that I can just look at her and instantly be happy. Also how much of a control freak I have stopped being. Going with the flow has made motherhood a million times easier!

5. Favorite website(s)?

Amazon, Facebook, and Pinterest!

6. List three current obsessions.

Finding ways to decorate our new house, swinging with Ellie, and Greys Anatomy.

7. What is your child's/children's favorite thing about you or favorite thing that you do?

Her favorite thing I do is read to her and also when I go into another room and jump out and scare her. She belly laughs every time! It's the best sound in the world!

8. Any tips for other moms out there?

My biggest tips would be cherish every second you spend with your kids! Time goes way way too fast. The days may seem long but the years are so short! Do what YOU think is best for your family. No one knows what that is better than you! And lastly, write things down! Things they do, things they've said... especially the funny things! You'll be glad you have it in a few years when you don't remember them!
