From Instructor Emma Davis, "Jodie is always a positive presence in class. She is always in a good mood, and never seems to have a bad day. Even through her second pregnancy she has been powering through class with a smile on her face! We can't wait to meet the newest addition to our Stroller Strides family soon!" :)
Let's hear more about Jodie!
1. Who are the members of your family?
Members of my family are... my husband Steve, Mason who's almost 3 and our soon to be born daughter Morgan at the end of June. We also have a 9 1/2 year old English bulldog!
2. What is or was your career?
I worked for Landry's Seafood for 13 years. I was the senior kitchen manager for 9 of those years and Assistant General Manager for my last year there. I've been lucky to be a stay at home mom since moving here August of 2014.
3. How long have you been a member of Stroller Strides of Savannah and what has it done for you?
I've been coming to Stroller Strides for over a year. Stroller Strides helped me feel accepted into a town where I didn't know anyone. It not only helped me make friends but it also allowed our son to make friends!
4. What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?
That's a hard one... I guess it would be the joy that something that small can bring every day. I would also say that I've had better patience with Mason than I thought I would. Yes, there are hard days but I wouldn't change it for the world.
5. Favorite website(s)?
6. List three current obsessions.
I would have to say finishing/starting projects at home like painting and yard work. Getting Morgan's room ready and trying to get Mason's room updated! Which isn't easy. Also making sure that Steve stays happy! And if I don't know something I have to Google it!!
7. What is your child's/children's favorite thing about you or favorite thing that you do?
Oh my...I would say anything that we can do together! Playing trains, reading books, helping him dig in the dirt or him pushing me down the sidewalk on one of his riders!!!
8. Any tips for other moms out there?
I would have to say to enjoy each day! There will be easy days and there will be the really tough days. On those tough days just remember to take a deep breath and that bedtime will come soon!
